National Children's Dental Health Month
February is a great time to teach kids healthy habits. This month-long national health observance brings together thousands of dedicated dental professionals,
health care providers and others to promote the benefits of good oral health to children and adults, caregivers, teachers and many others.
The Greater St. Louis Dental Society is celebrating by hosting our
annual Dinosaur Doings on Saturday, February 18, 2012 from 11:00am - 2:00pm at the Saint Louis Science
Center to raise awareness about the importance of oral health.

dental health? The Dental Society has resources to help you in your presentation. We DVDs,
typodonts and brushes, books and activity sheets.

Your Mouth is Talking - Are You Listening?
In an effort to educate all Missourians on what it takes to keep a mouth healthy, the Missouri Dental Association (MDA) has developed the "Your Mouth is Talking. Are You Listening?" campaign.

Give Kids a Smile
GKAS provides a two-day dental clinic, held at St. Louis University, in February and October each year.
Give Kids A Smile - St. Louis is a not-for-profit which continues working to eliminate the silent epidemic of dental disease for the millions of children who cannot sleep, eat properly, pay attention in school, or simply smile.
Every child seen at the "Give Kids a Smile" clinic receives an oral examination, necessary radiographs, a thorough cleaning and fluoride treatment and education on oral hygiene, proper nutrition, etc. Fillings and extractions can also be completed at the clinic, with follow-up appointments scheduled with local, volunteer dentists, if necessary. Dental Health Theatre
The Delta Dental Health Theatre offers a unique blend of fun, entertainment and education to promote healthy life-choices.The Theatre guests enjoy an interactive 45 minute program, that includes an educational video, and interactive games and discussions, that educate and inspire children and families to take care of their smiles and to adopt a healthy lifestyle. Speaker's Bureau
Throughout the year the Dental Society supports a Speaker's Bureau whose members teach children and adults about the importance of oral health.
